Mistaken Identity and Bank Fraud

We keep saying Trust is Earned.  Can’t seem to stress it anywhere near enough.

A client was engaged in a commercial deal with another party.  During the course of the deal, we discovered the other party had a large sum, $60,000, fraudulently taken from their bank account.  The way it was done was shocking; the bank teller did not check the ID of the people making the withdrawal.

Not only did that party lose $60,000, they felt betrayed and very understandably hurt.  Their appeals to the bank went without response; they felt victimised and couldn’t understand the lack of care the bank showed.

Our Partner, Pierre Johannessen, took on the other party’s claim without hesitation, and obtained a perfect result for the new clients; the return of their money, as well as the bank covering their legal fees for the recovery.
